Like your creepy uncle's living room

We went to the absolute worst children's museum in the world. The Chesapeake Children's Museum in Annapolis is a dump. Don;t take your kids there. The animal tanks are filthy, the toys are gross, and the staff could care less. One on-line review compared it to "your creepy uncle's living room". It may be worse than that.

There were a few nice things about the trip. We did get a nice walk. And we did get to leave.

Spa creek. We saw carp mating

A broadcast tower on site

And if that isn't odd enough...

There are at least 8 of them

Cute. except for that the large hand belongs to a life sized doll that has stuffed intestines that kids can remove and get their germs on before pushing them back inside. And there were typewriters in the room as well.

All the books were in Spanish. Plus there was a copy of the Maryland state driving manual. Also in Spanish.

Put this address in your phone's google maps and tell it to never take you there.

Zoo-tastic

While we were in Maryland, we took Robby and Dylan to the National Zoo. It involved his first train ride and first subway ride. It was a great day.

Tell me the story about Uncle Christina and the Jellyfish

After the hotel in Annapolis informed us that their pool wasn't open yet (85 degrees and sunny), we went to the beach that I used to frequent growing up: Selby! It's right across the street from my Granny's house (now Aunt Nancy's house) and has a lot of memories for me. One of which is a time that my cousin christian was stung by a jellyfish and went running back to the house to get help.

That's a story that I tell Robby on a regular basis.

Swim Time!

Yeah! warm water! Although the locals mentioned it was cold. No Jellyfish this time of year.

That's the shot, right there

I'm getting sand in my shorts!

Down South

We went to Fredricksburg, VA to Zach's wedding. The trip was nice, except for ridiculous traffic in Northern Virginia.

Boom!

We visited the grand opening of a new Children's Museum in Fredricksburg.

An Unceremonious Anniversary

Since I've posted a new blog.

Even though I've been on a business trip, we went south to a wedding, we spent time in Annapolis, had not one but two parties, and watched Robby get cuter.

Maybe I should get to work.

Bal'mer

Last month I spent a few rainy days in Baltimore. Orioles game canceled. Golf tournament canceled. Plane ride bumpy as all get out. But I did get one day of nice weather, and a wonderful view of the inner harbor.
