Baby Models: You're officially on notice

Uncle Peter took some fabulous shots of the Tubbs yesterday. I know I'm his father, and I'm of course seeing everything through Robby colored glasses, but you can't deny that he is the cutest kid in town! Maybe we should get this little guy out on the modeling circuit and make us a little extra coin.

Daily Happy: Shameless Overalls Blog

You got it: Shots of Robby in overalls.

Classic Farmer Tubbs look. Robby's ready for anything life can throw at him, provided it doesn't require shoes. You'll catch Robby crawling, eating, scooting, and laughing with this everyday, utilitarian attire. Tough enough to repel half eaten cheerios and mushy fruit, stylish enough to make the ladies cry "cutie!"

A more modern take on a classic design. Fabric material replaces the denim used in the first outfit. Casual yet sporty, these duds provide the freedom to zoom around your laundry basket without having to worry about getting your feet caught in the cuffs. Look for this at pool parties and story time--he's a man about town, you know?

Chicken Pot Pie

Christina put together Heather Hall's chicken Pot Pie recipe last night. One word: Absolutely Scrumptious! Thick and Rich, with vegetables and potatoes flowing out of the sides. There's sausage in the recipe (I suggest using hot Italian sausage) that gives it a meaty flavor. It wasn't difficult to make, either. We made extra and froze it for later--definitely a staple at the Davis house going forward.

Cooking everything in the big pan, and getting the crust egg-washed up. Look at that attention to detail

Glistening with eggy goodness

Look at that! It tasted twice as good as it looks

Added peas because we had them in the freezer.

Mmmmmmmmm

Robby stood up last night, on his walker! He apparently got frustrated 'cause he didn't know where to go from here. Babies are cute.

The Bounty of Summer (and Pigs)

Warm, sunny breezes, flip-flops on your feet, a little sweat on your forehead: What could be better than an easy summer day? How about an easy summer day with fresh vegetables for dinner!

We used the fresh tomatoes and squash we got from the farm to make BLT's and squash surprise for dinner on Monday. Talk about delicious. It's amazing what fresh tastes like. In fact, it's wonderful to have tomatoes and squash that actually have taste!

Look at that! Nice mayonnaise with crisp lettuce. Thin slices of tomato that just melts in your mouth.

Fresh squash baked with celery, green pepper and american cheese--cayenne pepper to give it a bite

If this isn't on the menu tonight, what are you waiting for? Get you some!

Summertime

It's hot and sweaty out today, but I'm pining for the bathwater climes of the Bay in summer. Stumbled across a few pictures on the interwebs that reminded me of home. Why? Because they are actual pictures of the beach in Saunder's Point and Beverly Beach

Nothing like southern Maryland in the Summertime.

The stairs overlooking the Bay. Thin line of land in the distance is the southern tip of Kent Island, due east from Mayo

That is a jetty, looking north at Thomas Point, east of Annapolis

Beverly Beach looking out northeast over the water at Kent Island

I'm thinking it's time to head to the beach, my friends.

Weekend Re-Cap

We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. Swim time on Saturday where Robby spent a good deal of time on his back. We'll make a swimmer out of him soon enough. We spent Saturday evening at the drive in, saw Spider man. It was a lot of fun. On Sunday we lounged around the house for a bit. Then I finished painting the stairwell while Christina and Robby went to the Mall to try out the new playground. We spent some time at the lake swimming, and then retired after watching 2 episodes of the Sopranos.

All in all a great weekend.

Play Time

I had the pleasure of hanging with Robby this morning while Christina went to a meeting in Worcester. Robby and I got to spend some quality play time together, including a raid of the Tupperware drawer.

Coffee Filters, Gum, Evaporated milk, Tubbs!

Great morning for some shopping, while mommy got some rest and before we headed to see Andy, Lauren, and Amy in Braintree. It was a blast--great cookout and swimming with the cuz!

Dinner (Caution, Chubby Cheeks)

After the museum, we met Grandma and Grandpa Hall at Grant's in West Hartford. Food is always delicious, and this time we had the Tubbs with us. Be careful, there are some absolutely adorable pictures below.

I'd like something to eat.

Thanks Mom.

That's great!
