#TBT: Shameless Dad Repost

Summer will be back before we know it!

Bored Walk, then the Board Walk

I spent the day golfing on Saturday, and Christina took Robby to the beach at Rocky Neck. Everyone had a great day, but unfortunately there was a lost item at the beach -- so we went down to the shore first thing on Sunday. No luck at the lost and found, but we did take a side trip to the Niantic Boardwalk.

After a few tries, we finally found the park. Stupid signs.

We did notice that Niantic is famous for Sushi, Dead Egyptians, Monsters from Spice planets and Lady's undergarments

Walking along street, which we thought was the boardwalk. Saw a few trains

Big ol' thumbs down

Train trestle

Then we found the boardwalk!

A great day at the beach

And then we went to Lunch on Mystic

#TBT: Shameless Dad Repost

Because it'll be here soon:

Finally, a bit of winter in winter

It's been an interesting couple of years as far as New England weather. 2 years ago we had 3 winters in one. Last year we had winter in fall and then spring all winter long. This year....a White Christmas and what looks like the start of a real winter. They call it Bombogenesis.

We got 10-12 inches, about.

Backyard snow bowl

Inside snow bowl. Tasty

First snow, delicious

More, please.

#TBT: Shameless Dad Repost

From August 2011:

Back to our Roots

When I started Ashford Living, I intended to spend more time talking about our Life out here at 985 feet above sea level (no concern for Irene back).

So, to bring my reader back to one of the original precepts of this blog:

Today's Numbers:

Deer sighted: 0
Turkey Sighted: 0
Deer turkey ratio still even.

Skunk Smelled: 1

So fresh and so clean! No more stinky neck.

Here's my new best friend: Horse.

Mommy and I play with it all day.

Changes, and naked baby time. Think I'll pee on mommy when she rolls me over!

The original Napster.

Look at them cheeks!

Me and my other best friend Mousy. I'm mastering this Bumbo thing.

Halloweeny!

Robby was so excited this year for Halloween. He has been talking for weeks about being a ghost. Costume credit goes to Christina -- completely homemade. And super awesome. Nice work.

Can you see the little ghost?

He's holding his pumpkin bag

Headed to the door -- Candy!

There he is -- Ghosty-ghost with crabby-crab

Fill 'er up!

And here's a parade:
