Last walk in the Dinosaur woods

Friday was my last day at Loctite. It was also my last walk in Dinosaur State Park during lunch. Here are a few pictures of the park in fall. P.S. Starting my new old job at Loos & Co., Inc. on Thursday--provided Sandy doesn't hasten the Apocalypse.

Happy to start my new job

Baby in Town: Connecticut Adventures Town by Town

I have a simple dream: take Robby to every town in Connecticut. Not just drive through it--that's no fun, but actually stop and do something in each town. It may be as simple as having lunch or taking a walk, or as involved as taking a hike or a boat ride. We will, however, keep track of all our adventures, town by town, and document it here on Ashford Living. By the way:  I have other dreams, but this is the one I'm writing about now.

We'll do a few towns per post, and give a brief recap of what we did. I'll also keep a running total of all the towns we've been to, with a count, at the bottom of the post. You'll notice that we're recycling content from past blogs--some may say that's cheating, I say we're going green. They'll be in rough chronological order. So, here we go!

Windham

Robby was born in Windham Hospital in Willimantic.

Ashford

Robby lives here. Pretty easy to check this on off

Mansfield

Doctor's Office. Check! Plus numerous hikes and bike rides and library time and mom's club meetings and walks. It's the next town over to the south of us.

Manchester

Catsup and Mustard lives in Manchester. That was so delicious taking him there.

Brookfield

Over the river and though the woods...Robby's introduction party was at Grandma's house

Madison

The Ash-fugees lived with Aunt Sue and Uncle Jim during Winter Storm A-Hole in October of 2011.

Daddy Baby time

Fall is here, and Robby and I did a little fall clean up. After playing in the yard a bit, of course. And we saw a fox. Big weekend!

Tuning up the bike for a morning ride

Daddy's got a great workshop

All set

I even have my helmet on.

What a great view we have out here

I can wait to tell mommy about my bike ride

What is that?

A Fox!
( We were actually inside when the picture was taken. No Tubsters were exposed to foxes during the filming of this blog post)

He's looking for some food

I don't think this is working

Much better

Robby has figured out that flatulence is funny. It was going to happen some time, I suppose.

Mt. Tom

The family took a nice day trip yesterday to Litchfield and Mt. Tom State Park. It's not a very big park, but the hike and the view are quite nice. It's perfect for trekking with a toddler in a backpack. After a PBJ picnic lunch, we hiked to the top of Mt. Tom and climbed the old fire tower. The round trip took about an hour. Robby waited til the bottom of the hill to fall asleep. Then he slept the entire ride back to Ashford.
