Silver Spoon: Ricey Pudding Take One

Guess who tried solid food for the first time tonight?

Using the new spoon he got from Great Granny Urso.

It took a few tries to get him to respond.

He responded with a sour puss and a spit up!

But the spoon was a definite hit.

BeefEaters: The British Invasion Continues

The second in our series of British Import recipes: Kate and Will's Beef Pie aka The one with the Stout in it that Heather had Pete take a picture of the recipe for and email to me last month.

All kidding aside: real good stuff

Very rich flavor, and very savory.

Crisp pastry, deep, hearty stew that sticks to your ribs.

Greta for a snowy day like today. Well, a dusting day like today.

Lots of work though: took about 3 hours to put together--froze some ready to baking at a later date.

Make it once and enjoy it.

Home Improvements: Eat, Scrape, Steam Clean!

After way too may years limping along with sub-par rinse cycle and drying, Christina and I broke down and bought us one of those fancy new dishwashers. And by fancy, I mean works. First world problems, I know...

Here's the frontal shot of the new dishwasher:

Inside, much more room to operate -- and we can go another day or before hitting go.

And the old dishwasher. Good riddance.

Daily Happy: Shameless Dad Blog

Live action shots of Daddy - Baby time last night. Christina was in Hartford attending class, so Robby and I got a chance to read and jump on the bed.

So much better than doing my work. Now here's a vintage Tubster shot:

Snoozie!

Robby's Baptism

This weekend was one of the best of my life. Robby was baptized in the church I grew up in, and 4 generations of the family were there to see it. I'm generally not a softy, but that, my friend, is pretty darn cool!

Here's a slideshow of the event:

Here's a few random shots of family, including a few of my mom and grandmother, making them Robby's grandmother and Great grandmother!
