The Bounty of Summer (and Pigs)

Warm, sunny breezes, flip-flops on your feet, a little sweat on your forehead: What could be better than an easy summer day? How about an easy summer day with fresh vegetables for dinner!

We used the fresh tomatoes and squash we got from the farm to make BLT's and squash surprise for dinner on Monday. Talk about delicious. It's amazing what fresh tastes like. In fact, it's wonderful to have tomatoes and squash that actually have taste!

Look at that! Nice mayonnaise with crisp lettuce. Thin slices of tomato that just melts in your mouth.

Fresh squash baked with celery, green pepper and american cheese--cayenne pepper to give it a bite

If this isn't on the menu tonight, what are you waiting for? Get you some!
