Fish Stew

This is an instant classic. Like Manhattan chowder, with many seafoods.

Tomato base, with Churico sausage, scallions, and garlic.

Cod, Scallops, and Shrimps.

Simmered to perfection.

Big hunks of fish.

Served with crusty bread. Perfect winter dish.

We had Robby's 4 month Check-up today (4 months old on the 28th!). He's packing on the pounds and getting to be a rather big guy. Had more vaccines, but little crying. What a champ!

My Maryland Niece and Nephew make an appearance in this video. Charlie Brown trombone is done by my sister, Jennie. Morgan does a great job "reading" and counting along with The Hungry Caterpillar. Check out the last minute entry by her younger brother Dylan. Great looking kids Jennie and Eddie!

Shrimp & Sausage

Accidental Davis family staple. Stumbled upon this combo as a fridge cleaning "let's give it a try" meal, and it stuck. Just good food. Churico Sausage--It's Portuguese Kielbasa. Bangin'

Broiled. I would have done this outside on the grill if it were summer (on the calendar, not just the thermometer!)

Lemon Coffee Cake

Unbelievably delicious.

It does taste as good as it looks.

I'm usually a good cook and a terrible baker (I can't follow directions very well). This time I did, and It was worth it.

Secret: Sour cream and whole milk instead of butter milk. Makes it much more savory.

There's rosemary in there as well. Gave it a nice smell, but not a big flavor kick.

The only question now is: Will there be any left when I get home!

Fish in Milk

This was an interesting mixture of food and preparation. I have to admit, the fish came out great, but the rest was just OK.

Probably won't do it again, if I can make Fish and peas, I should just make fish and peas, right?

The egg was a nice touch.

It may be worth doing if you're into fish cooked in milk--but the tomato wasn't necessary. Oh well--on to better things!
